Project Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Collaborate as a member of a project team that includes Project Management, Buyers, Customer Service, and other cross-functional partners to successfully complete conveyor and material handling projects.

• Take ownership of and manage all engineering-related project tasks, including engineering schedules, budgets, and engineering change orders.

• Facilitate discussions and drive outcomes with vendors and suppliers to assess and review system and equipment designs.

• Analyze customer specifications and integrate requirements throughout the design process.

• Offer technical support during the entire engineering process.

• Utilize AutoCAD and other drafting tools for system evaluations, vendor coordination, and securing customer approvals.

• Review drawings created by others for precision.

• Confirm handshakes and data exchanges between automation solutions to guarantee integration within the overall system design.

• Lead and mentor Engineering team members when project demands necessitate it.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Navisworks.

• Familiarity with Inventor or similar tools is advantageous.

• In-depth understanding of standard engineering concepts, practices, and procedures, especially within the material handling sector.

• Capacity to apply creativity and flexibility to problem-solving.

• Ability to assess and anticipate project tasks with minimal guidance and adhere to project timelines.

• Several years of experience with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), Pallet Shuttle ASRS, and high-speed conveyor systems.

• Experience in leading, mentoring, or managing other team members.

• Strong communication skills across teams and functions.

• A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
