Project Controls Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Execute the company's project control methodology by overseeing and managing the financial performance of client projects.

• Offer support and expertise for international purchases, importation, and international tax matters.

• Oversee the financial components of assigned client projects to assist delivery project managers.

• Facilitate international projects, which includes contract development and compliance, risk mitigation, project reporting, and status updates.

• Handle project billing, ensuring validation of contract milestones, progress billings, change orders, and customer invoicing.

• Lead discussions with customers regarding billing, payment status, contract payment terms, and disputed invoices.

• Implement earned value performance measurement processes in collaboration with project management teams.

• Collaborate with project accountants who support the projects.

• Assist Finance with issues related to international tax reporting.

• Support Procurement regarding international purchases, importing, and duties.

• Liaise with project managers about contract documents, change orders, approvals, and additional services.

• Evaluate project variances, delayed collections, and projected cost overruns.

• Relay project information to management while ensuring open resolution of issues.

• Introduce process enhancements for project controls and earned value measurement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.

• At least eight (8) years of relevant accounting experience.

• Proficiency in English at an advanced level.

• Capability to thrive in a high-growth and quickly evolving organization.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and general business software.

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 5%).

• Capability to perform essential job functions.

• Experience in international project accounting (preferred).

• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or Infor LN (preferred).
