
Project Billing and Financial Operations Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire.
• Establish and manage service projects within the company's ERP system.
• Confirm the accuracy and completeness of project structures, customer details, billing terms, and coding.
• Examine invoice support documentation and verify billing details against contract stipulations or accompanying records.
• Generate precise invoices for prompt submission to customers.
• Track expenses allocated to service projects.
• Ensure that costs are correctly coded, supported, and aligned with project budgets, contractual obligations, and company policies.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, expense inquiries, and project setup challenges.
• Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and finance departments.
• Keep well-organized billing and project records to facilitate audit preparedness and reporting.
• Contribute to process enhancements that improve billing accuracy, minimize delays, and boost efficiency.
• Assist with departmental procedures in compliance with applicable Sarbanes-Oxley controls when necessary.
• Support additional projects and responsibilities as organizational needs change.
• An associate degree or a comparable combination of education and relevant work experience is required.
• Several years of experience in project billing, invoicing, project accounting, finance operations, or a related field.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, expense management procedures, customer billing, or project-based financial processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Capability to work accurately with data, spreadsheets, documents, and reports.
• Strong organizational abilities, including documenting activities, managing priorities, monitoring deadlines, and following through on details.
• Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills.
• Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to actively listen, ask pertinent questions, and comprehend the needs of internal partners and customers.
• Flexibility in a fast-paced operational setting.
• Collaborative interpersonal skills for effective interaction with project managers, finance partners, operations teams, and colleagues throughout the organization.
• A keen interest in identifying opportunities for process improvements.
