Program Specialist II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Deliver dedicated and personalized support to patients and doctors via phone and online portal.

• Explore insurance benefits, coverage options, and out-of-pocket expenses.

• Provide assistance with payments, reimbursements, denials, appeals, prior authorizations, and medical necessity processes.

• Conduct outbound calls to gather additional customer information.

• Seek alternative reimbursement resources, including state and federal assistance programs.

• Aid qualified patients with their enrollment processes.

• Address inquiries from customers, sales representatives, and business partners.

• Enter and modify orders, track shipments, and maintain customer documentation, logs, and records.

• Process patient assistance applications following program business guidelines.

• Serve as the primary contact for healthcare providers seeking patient enrollment and insurance details.

• Adhere to company and client policies and procedures.

• Complete other assigned tasks and projects as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma with 4 years of experience or an Associate’s Degree with 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.

• Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Positive and proactive attitude.

• Detail-oriented and accurate in work.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.

• Experience in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment while maintaining a patient-centered approach.

• Proficient computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Customer service and/or call center experience is preferred.

• Experience in patient assistance, reimbursement, and/or pharmacy benefit management is preferred.

• Background in medical billing and coding is preferred.

• Open availability from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST based on program and business requirements.

• Weekend availability, including shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.

• Excellent attendance record.
