This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the planning and execution of commercial deployments, from pilot initiatives to full-scale rollouts, including dock-based remote operations programs.
• Oversee the scope, schedule, dependencies, and risks across hardware, software, and operational workstreams.
• Proactively identify technical, regulatory, and logistical challenges and develop action plans to address them.
• Collaborate with customers to create Standard Operating Procedures, contribute to Safety Management System inputs, and establish operational controls, maintenance plans, and support plans.
• Facilitate the transition to steady-state operations and ensure customer readiness before reducing involvement.
• Convert customer operational needs into actionable execution plans and clear internal deliverables.
• Coordinate efforts across Mission Success, Support, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams.
• Manage customer expectations in alignment with Skydio’s actual capabilities, including declining requests when necessary.
• Assist in commercial growth, early deployments, new use cases, and foundational scaling efforts.
• Relay field insights back to the Product and Engineering teams.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a customer-facing program or professional services role, delivering complex technical programs.
• Proven history of managing multi-phase implementations that integrate hardware, software, and operational process transformations.
• Strong foundational skills in project management, including planning, dependency tracking, risk management, and execution monitoring.
• Experience in deploying new technology at customer locations, encompassing workflow design, documentation, and training.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to independently diagnose and resolve execution-related issues.
• Practical experience with sUAS, robotics, or aviation-related platforms is a plus.
• Possession of an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate is advantageous from day one; support to obtain it will be provided upon joining.
• Familiarity with dock-based or remote/BVLOS operations is desirable.
• Experience in global logistics or site security settings is beneficial.
• Previous collaboration with agile product and engineering teams on customer-focused roadmaps is a plus.
• Obtaining FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days is highly encouraged for all employees and required for certain roles.
