Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Supervise the ISSO Support/Independent Security Controls Assessment Department.

• Ensure security compliance, maintain accurate documentation, and conduct continuous monitoring for Department of State systems.

• Manage POA&M tracking, updates to RMF documentation, maintenance of vulnerability status, preparation for audits, and coordination with system owners.

• Guarantee that systems adhere to FISMA and NIST requirements.

• Direct the operational framework for ISSO support and independent assessments.

• Align departmental functions with governance standards, RMF expectations, and contractual performance goals.

• Provide executive leadership across ISSO security governance and RMF assessment operations.

• Oversee planning cycles, milestones, and synchronization across multiple teams.

• Manage stakeholder engagement among ISSOs, assessors, government representatives, and system owners.

• Supervise security compliance, RMF lifecycle monitoring, readiness of artifacts and documentation, coordination with government ISSO and security engineering, review and approval of deliverable quality, and staffing and performance across multiple departments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in federal cybersecurity program management.

• PMP, CISSP, or CAP certification is preferred.

• Proven experience leading ISSO or RMF teams.

• Minimum of Secret security clearance is required.

• Capability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

• Candidates must be eligible for clearance without sponsorship; ProSync is unable to sponsor candidates for security clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in any discipline.
