Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Oversee all stages of client programs from initiation to completion.

• Manage program costs, implementation, and performance metrics.

• Engage in negotiations related to contracts and contract modifications.

• Coordinate business plans, work statements, specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms and conditions of contracts.

• Ensure that development processes are in line with market trends, program objectives, and client requirements.

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding program activities.

• Lead customer program review meetings focusing on cost, schedule, and performance metrics.

• Generate new business opportunities or broaden the product offerings for the client.

• Assess problem areas and opportunities, evaluating various options.

• Analyze performance and suggest marketing strategies.

• Set milestones and track program plans and timelines.

• Identify issues within the program and seek solutions, including resource allocation or changes to contractual specifications.

• Assess the profitability and feasibility of new products or enhancements to programs.

• Formulate strategies and plans for optimal program performance in relation to market opportunities.

• Collaborate with various company functional groups throughout the program lifecycle.

• Supervise employees assigned to the program across technical, marketing, operations, analytics, and administrative functions.

• Direct and coordinate teams in engineering, marketing, and software development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant work experience with 5-8 years in project management.

• At least 2 years of experience in people management.

• Background in Energy Efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• Must manage one or more concurrent contracts generating $2m-$5m in annual revenue without incentives.

• Proven experience in executing contracts to ensure compliance and client satisfaction.

• Experience in directing and coordinating cross-functional teams typically consisting of 7-15 members.

• Direct people management experience with a span of control of 2-7 individuals.

• Capability to manage programs that involve significant complexity and risk.

• May be responsible for creating technical content and intellectual property.

• Must meet all relevant DOT qualification requirements, if applicable.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is based without employer sponsorship.

• Candidates must successfully pass pre-employment background checks.
