Program Manager – AEC, MEP, Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily implementation of master program schedules and phase-gate milestones.

• Coordinate efforts among QC Ecosystem entities, consultants, contractors, vendors, and client stakeholders.

• Act as the main coordination liaison between the PMO and field-executing teams.

• Organize working sessions and ensure accountability for action items, commitments, and deliverables.

• Track program performance and identify impacts on schedule, scope, and delivery.

• Assist in the transition from proposal development to program kickoff and execution.

• Ensure alignment of scope, deliverables, staffing plans, schedules, and execution assumptions across QC Ecosystem entities.

• Monitor pre-award, mobilization, and startup milestones while identifying planning gaps, risks, and dependencies.

• Facilitate the planning kickoff and transition from business development/proposal teams to delivery teams.

• Set up governance structures, communication plans, reporting schedules, and stakeholder alignment.

• Maintain schedules and keep an eye on risks, issues, dependencies, constraints, and delays.

• Lead issue resolution, assign responsibilities, set timelines, and escalate challenges when necessary.

• Support phase-gate reviews and assessments of readiness.

• Promote collaboration among technical, operational, commercial, delivery, leadership, project, and field teams.

• Take ownership of execution-focused reporting and status updates.

• Collaborate with Project Controls and Business Analysts for accurate reporting and visibility.

• Create weekly and monthly program updates for stakeholders and leadership.

• Maintain program documentation, action logs, risk registers, and decision tracking.

• Assist with governance reviews and executive reporting requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience in program or project management within data center development, construction, infrastructure, utilities, energy, EPC, or capital project delivery environments.

• Demonstrated experience in coordinating multiple projects, vendors, consultants, contractors, or delivery partners within a single program.

• Strong comprehension of program execution, schedule management, risk management, cross-functional coordination, and phase-gate/readiness processes.

• Experience in supporting programs from planning, proposal, pre-construction, or mobilization phases through execution and closeout.

• Ability to function effectively with incomplete information while driving decisions, accountability, and progress.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills across executive, operational, and field-level stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• PMP, CCM, or similar certification is preferred.

• Preferred experience includes hyperscale data center programs, owner's representative environments, multi-vendor program management, large-scale capital project delivery, infrastructure/utility/energy programs, program mobilization, pursuit support, pre-construction planning, and shared governance structures.

• Capability to meet specified physical demands, including often remaining stationary, frequently moving within a home office, and occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%, potentially to any or all 50 U.S. states.
