πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Provide strategic direction and oversight for a collection of private sector-funded initiatives, as well as international STEM career pathway and workforce development programming.

β€’ Lead cross-functional project teams and supervise Project Directors and staff.

β€’ Act as the main point of contact and relationship manager for GE Aerospace and GE Vernova.

β€’ Ensure effective program implementation, operational excellence, stakeholder engagement, achievement of strategic objectives, and growth in partnerships.

β€’ Direct portfolio planning, performance monitoring, risk management, and ongoing improvement efforts.

β€’ Deliver strategic leadership, oversight, technical support, research, and thought leadership based on project requirements and funding.

β€’ Assist Project Directors in carrying out project activities.

β€’ Conduct regular assessments of project status, actions, decisions, risks, issues, and timelines.

β€’ Promote innovation, problem-solving, respect, transparency, and learning among teams and stakeholders.

β€’ Coordinate matrix management for project staffing, professional growth, and supervision of technical staff.

β€’ Facilitate workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.

β€’ Maintain client relationships and lead performance reviews, strategic discussions, and communications regarding performance, risks, opportunities, and future initiatives.

β€’ Represent FHI 360 in external engagements with donors, partners, educational institutions, community organizations, and government stakeholders.

β€’ Ensure financial viability, compliance, responsible management of client funds, and sufficient project resources.

β€’ Oversee the creation of models, products, modules, and other assets.

β€’ Identify opportunities to incorporate assets into existing or new programming.

β€’ Support business development initiatives to sustain and expand the project portfolio.

β€’ Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Master's Degree in Education, Economic Development, Workforce Development, Public Administration, International Development, Business Administration, Engineering, Social Sciences, or a related field.

β€’ 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in program, portfolio, or organizational leadership, including at least 8 years in department-level leadership, with strong business acumen and/or line management experience.

β€’ Proven experience leading complex, multi-site, donor-funded programs or portfolios.

β€’ Experience managing senior-level donor relationships and forming strategic partnerships.

β€’ Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams within a matrix environment and developing high-performing staff.

β€’ Experience overseeing multimillion-dollar budgets and navigating complex stakeholder environments.

β€’ Exceptional relationship management and skills in engaging executive stakeholders.

β€’ Strong capabilities in strategic planning, business acumen, and portfolio management.

β€’ Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.

β€’ Ability to lead through complexity and manage multiple priorities at once.

β€’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

β€’ Proven ability to motivate and develop diverse, geographically dispersed teams.

β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, SharePoint, Teams, and project management tools.

β€’ All personnel must adhere to FHI 360's safeguarding commitment and sign the code of conduct.

β€’ Subject to appropriate screening checks, including reference, criminal record, terrorism finance, and misconduct disclosure checks.

β€’ Project Management certification is preferred.
