Program Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take responsibility for the overall program's profit and loss, which includes revenue recognition, margin performance, cost management, and variance oversight.

• Develop the program's operating model, governance structure, and organizational framework.

• Authorize headcount, subcontractor expenditures, vendor commitments, and significant investment choices within your delegated authority.

• Oversee the delivery of firm-fixed-price, outcome-driven milestones across nine financial process domains.

• Act as the executive liaison to the government program office, senior civilian and military leaders, contracting officers, and representatives.

• Lead the integrated program team encompassing program management, architecture, functional delivery, development, testing, data migration, change management, and training.

• Manage the performance of teaming partners and subcontractors.

• Handle risk and opportunity management, including the identification, assessment, mitigation, and escalation of risks.

• Ensure adherence to federal acquisition and defense business system regulations.

• Supervise CDRL deliverables, monthly status updates, integrated master schedule revisions, and earned value or similar performance reports.

• Strive for favorable CPARS ratings and enhance the program's reference value for future federal endeavors.

• Advocate for audit readiness, financial statement transparency, internal controls, and the rectification of historical audit issues.

• Oversee workforce strategies, including clearance processes, retention, succession planning, and surge capacity management.

• Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic direction, investment priorities, capability enhancement, and organic growth initiatives.

• Engage in quality assurance processes and safeguard sensitive information in compliance with security protocols.

• Carry out other related duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, combined with 15–20 years of professional experience and 8–12 years of progressively responsible people leadership; alternatively, 18–24 years of professional experience and 10–14 years of progressive leadership experience without a degree.

• Over 10 years of experience directing federal or Department of War programs, including direct responsibility for program profit and loss.

• Experience as a Program Manager or Program Director on a federal contract valued at a minimum of $100 million.

• Proven track record in leading integrated delivery organizations comprising 50+ personnel across various subcontractors or teaming partners.

• Background in delivering ERP programs, preferably SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA, within a federal or defense context.

• Familiarity with FAR and DFARS regulations, fixed-price and cost-reimbursement contracts, and government milestone review and acceptance procedures.

• Experience in managing integrated master schedules, earned value or equivalent performance evaluation, and formal risk management.

• Exceptional executive-level communication skills for briefing senior government officials and representing C5MI in formal program evaluations.

• PMP certification or an equivalent program management certification is mandatory.

• Active Secret clearance or the capability to obtain and maintain one before assignment; U.S. citizenship is required.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% to client locations.
