This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand, +1 more country.
• Assist country programs in seeking institutional donor funding opportunities that align with IRC’s Business Development Strategy.
• Facilitate all stages of business development, from identifying opportunities to the signing of contracts.
• Lead or assist in pre-positioning activities, technical brainstorming sessions, partner and competitor landscape analysis, and win theme workshops.
• Support the entire proposal lifecycle including opportunity assessments, Go/No Go decisions, templates, timelines, recruitment, budget reviews, document completion, meetings, notes, and drafting/proofreading proposal sections.
• Identify consultants, partners, and proposal development resources.
• Aid in the conceptualization of proposals and bid designs for new initiatives and project amendments.
• Provide proposal quality assurance and compliance assistance.
• Coordinate inputs from consortium partners and manage regional reviews and approvals.
• Review agreements, emphasize compliance requirements, and assist in award negotiations.
• Maintain complete and accurate electronic files and submission tracking systems.
• Travel to country offices to take the lead on proposal development as necessary.
• Support partnership opportunities, assist in partner identification, and establish teaming arrangements, focusing on women-led national organizations.
• Coordinate inputs for donor meetings, conferences, and communications.
• Represent IRC to donors, peers, and partners as required.
• Develop, update, and deliver training on business development.
• Facilitate post-submission debrief sessions and capture lessons learned.
• Support internal knowledge management efforts and integrate lessons learned into future proposals.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training new members of the grants and partnerships team.
• Contribute to regional strategic priorities, translation needs, special projects, and assigned tasks.
• Report to the Head of Business Development for Asia and collaborate with IRC teams and departments.
• No line management responsibilities.
• Experience in developing and supporting humanitarian and development proposals for NGOs.
• Familiarity with the strategies and proposal processes of key government and statutory donors, including US, UK, EU, German, Scandinavian, and others.
• Experience collaborating with and supporting national and community-based partners.
• Proficient in proposal budgeting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate in a multicultural environment.
• Demonstrated capability to work effectively with colleagues in remote and diverse teams, including serving as a team leader for proposals.
• Strong, clear writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 20% of the time).
• Proficiency in English.
