This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Conduct live remote classes.
• Provide mentorship to students by responding to inquiries and offering feedback on their assignments and projects.
• Deliver instruction through hands-on, market-relevant projects that emphasize in-demand skills.
• Instruct courses related to Microservices Architecture and Event-Driven Distributed Systems, as well as Real-Time Data Processing and Streaming Architecture.
• Create designs for event-driven microservices, events, data streams, contracts, and event models.
• Develop integrations, pipelines, event-processing microservices, streams, tables, continuous queries, and joins.
• Utilize architectural patterns, Streaming SQL, streaming frameworks, and serverless architectures.
• Design distributed systems with a focus on eventual consistency, duplication, event loss, determinism, state, and resilient execution.
• Establish tooling and governance, and implement testing strategies and deployment patterns within CI/CD pipelines.
• Model transformations, windowing, and watermarks in distributed systems.
• Relevant and recent hands-on experience in Distributed Systems Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, and Real-Time Streaming.
• Lato sensu postgraduate degree (specialization or MBA), completed or revalidated in Brazil.
• Stricto sensu postgraduate degree (Master's or PhD), completed or revalidated in Brazil (preferred).
• Experience as an instructor or in similar roles such as lectures, webinars, internal training, and related activities (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills.
• A strong inclination towards teaching.
• Commitment to project-based, practical learning.
• Willingness to learn and implement a competency-based teaching model.
• Proficient verbal communication.
• Availability to evaluate assignments, assist students, and prepare lesson materials.
• Remote classes scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
