Professional Services Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Offer assistance to customers utilizing Cloud and Managed Services.

• Address incidents as they arise.

• Handle service requests efficiently.

• Engage in problem management activities.

• Play a role in enhancing infrastructure.

• Provide support to a diverse clientele in a 24x7 storage operations setting.

• Design, construct, and implement infrastructure solutions.

• Execute disaster recovery testing procedures.

• Foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally requires a minimum of 2–4 years of relevant experience.

• A Bachelor’s degree or any master’s degree, or an equivalent combination of professional education/training and applicable work experience.

• Comprehensive understanding and experience with computing, virtualization, and networking, including VMware vSphere, Microsoft OS and Applications, and backup technologies.

• Preferred knowledge of containers and Ansible.

• Experience with microservices, OpenShift, and Kubernetes is advantageous.

• Proficiency in writing basic PowerShell/Python scripts is essential.

• Familiarity with NetApp technologies including CVO, StorageGRID, E-Series, CVS, Cloud Backup, Cloud Secure, Cloud Sync, Cloud DataSense, Astra, Trident, and Amazon FSx for ONTAP is highly valued.

• Knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, replication technologies, security hardening, and performance is beneficial.

• ITIL methodology knowledge and certification are preferred.

• Familiarity with managed services delivery and entry-level cloud certifications is highly desirable.

• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform.

• Solid grasp of storage protocols and technologies, including CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel switching, and networking.

• Basic knowledge of monitoring platforms, WANs, SANs, backup, and disaster recovery systems.

• Excellent customer communication and documentation abilities.

• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, and Azure is preferred.

• NetApp cloud-based certification such as Technology Associate (NCTA) is a plus.
