Professional Services Engineer, 911 Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Strategize, design, and implement comprehensive deployment projects for cloud-based call-handling solutions.

• Collaborate closely with clients to gauge their requirements and ensure successful project execution.

• Deliver advanced technical training and facilitate knowledge transfer throughout the deployment process.

• Partner with engineering teams to tackle complex technical challenges and troubleshooting tasks.

• Act as a reliable advisor to clients.

• Provide continuous deployment support, including after-hours assistance with installations and post-implementation help.

• Promote a customer-focused approach within the team.

• Enhance deployment processes and documentation to improve efficiency and scalability.

• Work collaboratively with Sales, Engineering, Customer Success, and Support teams for seamless project delivery.

• Keep leadership and stakeholders informed through consistent communication.

• Engage in technical pre-sales, architectural design sessions, and provide technical support activities.

• Oversee onsite and remote installations of Carbyne SaaS products.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience).

• A minimum of 8+ years in a technical role related to VoIP (e.g., PBX, Call Center).

• Established knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure.

• Demonstrated experience in planning, executing, and delivering intricate projects.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities and function effectively under pressure.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with network infrastructure, including routers, firewalls, and the OSI model.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

• Preferred: Experience in the public safety sector (ENP Certification/NG911).

• Preferred: Knowledge of Cisco UCS and/or FreeSWITCH.

• Preferred: Familiarity with streaming technologies (SIP, RTSP, RTMP, SIP-to-PSTN gateways, SIP Trunk, Wowza, WebRTC).
