Professional Services Engineer, 911 Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Plan, design, and implement comprehensive deployment projects for cloud-based call-handling solutions.

• Collaborate closely with clients to identify their requirements and ensure successful implementations.

• Deliver advanced technical training and facilitate knowledge transfer to clients throughout the deployment phase.

• Partner with engineering teams to address complex technical challenges and provide troubleshooting assistance.

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients.

• Offer ongoing deployment support, including after-hours work for installations and post-implementation aid.

• Promote a customer-focused approach within the team.

• Continuously enhance deployment processes and documentation for improved efficiency and scalability.

• Work collaboratively with Sales, Engineering, Customer Success, and Support teams to ensure smooth project execution.

• Maintain effective communication with leadership and stakeholders.

• Contribute to technical pre-sales activities, architecture and design sessions, and technical support endeavors.

• Oversee onsite and remote installations of Carbyne SaaS products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Minimum of 8+ years in a technical role related to VoIP (e.g., PBX, Call Center).

• Demonstrated knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure.

• Proven track record in planning, executing, and delivering complex projects.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution capabilities.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with network infrastructure, including routers, firewalls, and the OSI model.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

• Experience in the public safety sector (ENP Certification/NG911) is preferred.

• Knowledge of Cisco UCS and/or FreeSWITCH is a plus.

• Familiarity with streaming technologies, such as SIP, RTSP, RTMP, SIP-to-PSTN gateways, SIP Trunk, Wowza, and WebRTC is advantageous.
