Professional Services Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with sales teams and clients to ascertain business requirements and design comprehensive technology solutions.

• Provide technical expertise and support throughout the sales cycle, including presentations, demonstrations, and proposal development.

• Lead the technical design and implementation of technology solutions, ensuring projects are completed on time, within the defined scope, and within budget.

• Deliver presentations on complex solutions, architectures, integrations, and project progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ensure that cloud solutions adhere to security standards and best practices for regulatory compliance.

• Engage proactively with project managers, project teams, and clients.

• Create and maintain project-related documentation.

• Mentor junior engineers.

• Participate in internal initiatives to enhance the AWS practice by developing new solutions, acquiring new skills, and collaborating with the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8 to 10 years of professional experience utilizing AWS solutions and services.

• Experience in leading large consulting or software development projects.

• Extensive knowledge of cloud services, microservices (Kubernetes), and enterprise integration, especially with AWS.

• Experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and services.

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field, or equivalent industry experience.

• Advanced proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools, including Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Advanced proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, JavaScript, Bash, or Java.

• Strong understanding of IT principles in networking, security, hardware, or software.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience using and managing tools such as Ansible, Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Docker.

• Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional; AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.

• Proven experience in successfully implementing enterprise architectures.

• Demonstrated ability to influence a company’s technical direction.

• Capability to build cross-functional relationships and collaborate effectively.

• Proven success in technical pre-sales activities.

• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Ability to manage and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel as needed, up to 10% of work time.

• More than 8 years of professional experience in a client-facing professional services role, or over 10 years in a related industry.

• Fluency in English is required to collaborate daily with monolingual English-speaking colleagues and clients outside Quebec.
