
Professional Billing Specialist β Follow Up and Denials

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +3 more states.
β’ Prepare and submit professional claims.
β’ Correct routine claim errors and rejections.
β’ Manage assigned billing and follow-up queues in Epic.
β’ Utilize foundational knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, and payer regulations.
β’ Achieve productivity, quality, and timeliness benchmarks.
β’ Perform additional duties as required.
β’ Work Monday through Friday during daytime hours, with some flexibility post-training.
β’ Attend early-morning training starting at 6:30β7:00 a.m.
β’ Candidates must reside and work full-time in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Texas prior to their first day of employment.
β’ A High School Diploma or GED is required.
β’ Level 1: A minimum of 1 year of Medical Insurance experience is necessary.
β’ Level 2: A minimum of 3 years of professional billing experience is required.
β’ Level 2: CPB certification must be obtained within 1 year of the hire date.
β’ A general understanding of HIPAA and/or EOB is essential.
β’ Experience collaborating with insurance companies is required.
β’ Foundational knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, and payer rules is necessary.
β’ Ability to meet productivity, quality, and timeliness expectations.
β’ Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities.
