Profee Coding Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding across 1–4 professional fee specialties

• Assist in client coding services

• Determine professional fee E/M levels utilizing a company-developed algorithm

• Identify critical care cases based on patient acuity

• Apply ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes with the utmost specificity

• Precisely assign ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT®, and HCPCS codes

• Interpret coding guidelines for accurate code assignment

• Evaluate the significance of documentation and its effect on reimbursement

• Adhere to AHIMA ethical coding standards along with company ethics and compliance policies

• Follow internal policies and procedures

• Engage in training and educational sessions provided by the company

• Maintain at least one credential from AAPC or AHIMA

• Safeguard confidential information, including Personal Health Information

• Execute additional tasks as directed by leadership

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold a certification from either AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P)

• Minimum of 6 months of relevant work experience

• Proficiency in ProFee IP/OBS coding

• Familiarity with EMR and billing systems

• Must possess a phone, dependable internet connection, and current CPT and ICD-10-CM coding resources

• Maintain ongoing productivity with an accuracy rate of 95% or above

• Uphold a quality score of 95% or greater

• Competence in Microsoft Excel and Outlook

• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing

• Capable of coordinating, analyzing, observing, decision-making, and meeting deadlines

• Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance is essential

• Ability to work at a computer terminal for 6–8 hours daily

• Occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
