This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Conduct coding audits and evaluate outpatient provider services.

• Assist in optimizing coding practices and ensuring compliance for the medical group.

• Collaborate closely with outpatient providers.

• Offer continuous feedback, coaching, and assistance with the code entry process.

• Facilitate documentation and coding for ICD-9, ICD-10, and HCC in accordance with current reimbursement standards of the medical group.

⛳️ Requirements

• National Certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders required upon hire, or certification from the American Health Information Management Association required upon hire.

• Minimum of 3 years of recent outpatient medical coding experience.

• Experience collaborating with physicians, focusing on coaching and effective communication.

• Familiarity with EMR systems, preferably Epic.

• Background in coaching and training physicians.

• Demonstrated ability to proactively identify, address, and escalate issues that affect business and documentation outcomes.

• Proven track record in organizing and planning, with a strong ability to manage time effectively and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
