This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.
• Set up, test, and maintain staging, audio, video, lighting, and computer systems.
• Troubleshoot technical systems in performance spaces and retail areas.
• Coordinate with staging and lighting vendors to ensure proper setup.
• Collaborate with venue staff to fulfill technical requirements for space and equipment.
• Support security measures and ensure a safe environment for events.
• Oversee truck loading and unloading, as well as assist with meal procurement for staff.
• Record and audit critique videos during events, ensuring accurate backups.
• Occasionally serve as Announcer or Video Specialist as scheduled.
• Manage logistics for crew meals, including menu selection and ordering.
• Travel to and support live dance events throughout the event season.
• Work with vendors, venue staff, and fellow event personnel to guarantee reliable and high-quality technical execution.
• Previous experience in technical support, live production, or AV setups for events.
• Training or education in theater technology, broadcasting, or related disciplines (Preferred).
• Familiarity with lighting, audio, and multimedia systems in live-event settings (Preferred).
• Experience in technical theater, broadcasting, or film/TV, with insights into lighting, sound, and media workflows.
• Proficient in mixing live audio on analog consoles and managing microphones.
• Basic knowledge of networking and computer troubleshooting.
• Familiar with video systems and software.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS and MS Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and capacity to perform under pressure.
• Must live within a reasonable distance from a U.S. international airport or hub.
• Willingness to travel frequently during the event season (January–July).
• Ability to attend approximately 6–10 regional events annually and possibly 1–2 national events.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and set up equipment.
• Comfortable sharing hotel accommodations with same-gender colleagues during event assignments.
• All new or first-year event staff must attend an audition and training session in Eagle, Idaho, typically held from January 4th to 8th.
