Production Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Deliver composition, layout, and graphic assistance to both internal and offshore Production teams.

• Engage in the creation, execution, and upkeep of print and digital educational resources.

• Work extensively with Adobe InDesign and Acrobat, ensuring the integrity of InDesign files for assigned projects.

• Collaborate on illustrations and images using Illustrator and Photoshop.

• Revise book files and generate new pages based on provided manuscripts.

• Utilize WoodWing as a workflow management tool.

• Read, comprehend, and implement guidelines from a Style Guide.

• Develop templates and produce Style Guide documentation.

• Ensure compliance with copyright laws and permissions concerning copyrighted and public domain materials.

• Apply or uphold accessibility features in line with established guidelines and best practices.

• Assist in metadata collection and file organization for content repurposing.

• Participate in project meetings, documenting and following up on actions and decisions.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, vendors, and both internal and external teams to achieve project objectives and meet deadlines.

• Ensure that projects adhere to best practices and that documentation is maintained accurately.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency with Adobe products, including InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

• Knowledge of editorial markup and its application.

• Proven track record of delivering final products and project outputs according to prioritized schedules.

• Capability to manage multiple responsibilities across various projects.

• Strong communication skills with colleagues, managers, other teams, and offshore Production vendor/partners.

• Exceptional time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

• Ability to work autonomously.

• Proven accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
