Production & Quality Specialist – Seed

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations of the seed packet production program.

• Collaborate on production, quality control, inventory management, logistics, and restocking processes.

• Handle production purchase orders from initiation to receipt.

• Ensure visibility of finished goods inventory throughout the network.

• Work together with copackers, suppliers, warehouses, 3PLs, and internal teams.

• Guarantee that products are manufactured in the correct quantities while adhering to quality and packaging standards.

• Assist with e-commerce and Amazon restocking, including Amazon FBA inventory and seed packets for Amazon bundle production.

• Track finished packets against set specifications.

• Investigate quality concerns and coordinate corrective measures with production partners.

• Document and resolve any quality issues that arise.

• Proactively identify supply or service risks before they affect customers.

• Enhance production performance, quality, inventory accuracy, customer service, and operational costs.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in supply chain management, production planning, procurement, logistics, inventory, quality assurance, or a related discipline.

• Experience collaborating with suppliers, manufacturers, copackers, warehouses, or 3PLs.

• Proven track record in managing purchase orders, production schedules, inventory, restocking, or logistics.

• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets with the ability to analyze and utilize operational data.

• Familiarity with an ERP system; experience with NetSuite is advantageous.

• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail, capable of juggling multiple priorities and ensuring issues are resolved.

• Excellent communication skills, able to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external production partners.

• Comfortable in identifying problems, investigating root causes, and implementing corrective actions.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities and production needs can shift rapidly.

• Experience in e-commerce, Amazon, CPG, agriculture, seed, food, or manufacturing is preferred but not mandatory.
