Production Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of daily rock map creation and release operations.

• Oversee incoming customer orders, including remote data transfers and physical SSD drives.

• Evaluate and submit drone imagery for processing, prioritizing based on deadlines and capacity.

• Monitor orders from intake through processing, QA/QC, release, and return of drives.

• Conduct quality-control assessments, including field-boundary refinement, image-quality evaluation, and object-detection validation.

• Identify, troubleshoot, document, and escalate errors in the pipeline, failed jobs, file-transfer complications, and server-related issues.

• Manage daily priorities and task assignments for seasonal processing technicians.

• Maintain standard operating procedures, training resources, and process documentation.

• Communicate precise order status, potential risks, and delivery timelines to the Sales and Customer Success teams.

• Monitor production metrics, backlog, turnaround times, quality findings, and overall capacity.

• Assist in process improvement, staffing, and capacity planning initiatives.

• Ensure proper handling and tracking of customer data and physical storage devices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree in GIS, geography, remote sensing, information technology, operations, engineering technology, or a related field; equivalent relevant education, technical training, or work experience will also be considered.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in technical operations, production operations, data processing, QA/QC, GIS/remote sensing, IT support, or a similarly detail-oriented environment.

• Proficient in handling large files or datasets, including cloud transfers, shared/network drives, file organization, file integrity, or physical storage media.

• Strong skills in Windows, including file management, network/shared drives, permissions, and basic troubleshooting.

• Intermediate or advanced proficiency with Google Sheets or Excel, encompassing sorting, filtering, formulas, conditional formatting, and shared trackers.

• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to recognize missing inputs, image/data-quality issues, and processing errors.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot error messages, prioritize tasks, document issues, and escalate accordingly.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the capacity to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

• Capability to manage multiple orders and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Availability to work consistent Eastern Time business hours.
