Production Artist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Art Team and the Creative + Development Team to grasp project requirements and specifications.

• Create printer-ready files for packaging materials, which include labels, folding cartons, rigid boxes, belly bands, corrugated cartons, and influencer packaging.

• Assess client logos, illustrations, and artwork for quality, and communicate the need for updated assets when necessary.

• Optimize files for printing in accordance with industry standards and client specifications.

• Review design files to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.

• Perform pre-press checks for color accuracy, image resolution, and font usage.

• Work independently on multiple projects while collaborating effectively with teams.

• Manage version control and file organization to facilitate efficient production workflows.

• Prioritize tasks, apply project management judgment, and engage with teams to meet project deadlines.

• Keep production files organized for job efficiency and easy access.

• Execute minor retouching, color correction, and artwork cleanup as required.

• Proactively oversee deadlines and the execution of timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Production Artist.

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

• Familiarity with file releases for print production.

• Understanding of color management techniques to maintain color consistency during print production.

• Solid knowledge of print and finishing techniques, such as hot stamping, embossing/debossing, the Pantone color system, special coatings, and die cuts.

• Capability to execute design tasks efficiently and accurately.

• Willingness to work after-hours and across different time zones when required.

• Flexibility, open-mindedness, and responsiveness to constructive feedback and design revisions.

• Strong oral and written communication, listening, and decision-making skills.
