This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Create communication strategies for products and technology that align with Cohere’s business objectives, product roadmap, and technical uniqueness.
• Collaborate with leaders in product, engineering, research, and modeling to develop messaging, narratives, and materials that articulate Cohere’s technology in engaging and understandable ways.
• Oversee communications for product launches, including developing messaging frameworks, FAQs, press releases, and executive talking points.
• Convert intricate technical concepts into clear and persuasive content for customers, partners, analysts, and media.
• Work with corporate communications to promote proactive storytelling that enhances Cohere’s technical leadership and product momentum.
• Coordinate closely with marketing to maintain consistency across product marketing, developer content, and external communications.
• Contribute to thought leadership for executives in product, research, and modeling.
• Utilize qualitative and quantitative insights to refine messaging and gauge resonance with technical audiences.
• Prepare and assist with crisis and issue communications related to products, security, or technical incidents, collaborating with Corporate Communications and relevant teams.
• Possess 5–7 years of experience in product and technology communications or technical content, preferably in AI, enterprise software, or developer-focused settings.
• Be an outstanding writer skilled at simplifying complex technical subjects without sacrificing detail.
• Have experience collaborating with product and engineering leaders and serve as a trusted advisor.
• Understand enterprise AI, machine learning, or developer ecosystems and have a desire to deepen that knowledge.
• Be highly organized and detail-oriented, equipped with strong project management abilities and a proactive approach.
• Be comfortable working in uncertain situations and thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• Have experience with product launches, technical content creation, or developer-focused communications.
• Establish strong cross-functional relationships to promote clarity, consistency, and alignment among teams.
