Product Security Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of CrowdStrike's hybrid networks spanning AWS, GCP, Azure, and physical data centers.

• Evaluate the attack surface and pinpoint security vulnerabilities.

• Design and architect network connection patterns along with zone segmentation strategies that mitigate risks and support scalability.

• Create scalable monitoring, alerting, and automation solutions for network security threats.

• Lead threat modeling initiatives for secure architecture, data flows, and platform connectivity patterns.

• Assess the threat landscape and business priorities to prioritize impactful security enhancements.

• Contribute to the strategic vision for network and cloud infrastructure security.

• Provide architectural and design expertise for broader platform requirements.

• Become a subject matter expert in cloud security controls.

• Convey technical decisions through design documentation, tech presentations, and wikis.

• Collaborate with product engineering, infrastructure, and platform teams on secure-by-design architecture.

• Promote alignment and consensus on complex security requirements and challenges.

• Communicate architectural choices to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Act as a role model for security culture and best practices.

• Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams.

• Mentor junior team members or interns through pairing, design reviews, and code evaluations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

• Extensive networking expertise in hybrid environments, including AWS, GCP, Azure, and physical data center networking.

• Proficient in routing, segmentation, zone design, and traffic inspection architectures.

• Strong knowledge of cloud security with experience in identifying coverage gaps and controls in hybrid cloud environments.

• Proven experience in identifying network security vulnerabilities and designing scalable, secure connection patterns in SaaS or cloud-native product environments.

• In-depth protocol knowledge including TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, TLS, and applied cryptography.

• Previous experience in leveraging AI to enhance team capabilities.

• Experience in creating scalable monitoring, alerting, and automation solutions for network security scenarios.

• Proficient in scripting and automation using Python, Go, shell, or similar languages.

• Experience collaborating with teams that develop and launch products in fast-paced settings.

• Strong understanding of security architecture principles throughout the SDLC.

• Demonstrated capability to work independently on complex problems and drive them to resolution.

• Exceptional communication skills to engage in technical discussions, build consensus, and articulate intricate security concepts.

• Familiarity with GCP security controls.

• Experience with IaaS/PaaS networking constructs, such as VPCs, transit gateways, private endpoints, and service meshes.

• Understanding of Zero Trust network architecture principles and their implementation patterns.

• Experience in CI/CD pipeline security and operational systems.

• Proven experience in building solutions that leverage AI capabilities.

• Knowledge of compliance requirements and evidence collection in a regulated SaaS environment.

• Previous experience in a formal mentorship role.
