Product Owner – Virtual Interlining

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Product responsible for Virtual Interline to implement the roadmap and convert high-level goals into actionable delivery plans.

• Contribute to the vision and strategic direction of Virtual Interline by identifying opportunities, analyzing market trends and competitors, and offering data-driven insights.

• Gain a thorough understanding of the architecture of Virtual Interline and its interactions with other products and platform components.

• Assist with R&D initiatives and A/B testing to enhance the Virtual Interlining product.

• Foster relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams.

• Convert business and technical requirements into EPICs, user stories, and delivery priorities; serve as the product Subject Matter Expert (SME) throughout the planning and delivery phases.

• Ensure accountability among internal technical teams for quality outputs and timely delivery.

• Monitor and assess platform KPIs related to system health, integration stability, performance, and operational efficiency.

• Oversee and prioritize the product backlog while balancing platform stability, scalability, and feature delivery.

• Coordinate dependencies, risks, and competing priorities among teams.

• Evaluate processes and workflows, using root-cause analysis to identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements.

• Gather and analyze information, resolve complex issues logically, and make timely decisions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with technical platforms or integrations.

• Background in the travel industry, especially with OTAs, airline distribution, GDS, NDC, LCC, or airline APIs, is highly preferred.

• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate market trends, competition, and business objectives into product opportunities.

• Demonstrated capability to convert business requirements into product deliverables.

• Significant technical experience working with APIs, analyzing data, understanding technical systems and integrations, and collaborating with Engineering teams.

• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills; adept at managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.

• Ability to contribute to the long-term vision and roadmap for the product.

• Experience supporting R&D initiatives and data-driven experimentation, such as A/B testing.

• Understanding of cost economics and financial trade-offs in product-related decisions.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills across both technical and business teams.

• Strong passion for process improvement, operational excellence, and scalable platform design.

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

• OTA experience specializing in the flights domain is considered an asset.
