Product Owner I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with senior management to facilitate the realization of the product vision.

• Develop, sustain, and consistently reprioritize the product backlog and user stories.

• Coordinate with senior management regarding the product delivery roadmap, Minimum Marketable Features/Minimum Viable Products, and release schedule.

• Analyze performance metrics and advocate for strategies to improve the customer or end-user product experience.

• Participate in Scrum or Kanban events, such as stand-ups and retrospectives.

• Engage with business process partners to prepare customers/end users for application updates and establish Day 2 processes.

• Oversee the design, development, and completion of user stories; accept or reject stories based on the Definition of Done and Acceptance Criteria.

• Manage delivery initiatives and, depending on complexity, supervise multiple development team backlogs.

• Identify and communicate blockers that impact the delivery of customer-focused increments.

• Prioritize and manage defects effectively.

• Provide product development support leveraging product knowledge and Agile/Scrum expertise.

• Incorporate enterprise strategy into solutions across various functions or operations.

• Analyze business and industry challenges and propose enhancements to products, processes, or services.

• Relay product changes and backlog priorities to business, technology, and senior management.

• Act as the primary escalation point for the development team.

• Lead the submissions and discussions for Quarterly Business Reviews pertaining to the product.

• Manage stakeholder contributions and competing priorities.

• Monitor regulatory changes and evaluate their impact on product strategy.

• Oversee risk, quality, and business testing management.

• Gather performance metrics and establish OKRs in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Identify and mitigate organizational risks while escalating high-risk activities.

• Support team development, track team performance metrics, and provide coaching.

• Collaborate with the Scrum Master to reinforce Agile methodologies.

• Mentor colleagues and share knowledge and best practices.

• Foster productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Advocate for a fair, positive, equitable, and diverse workplace.

• Serve as a brand ambassador for TD and the respective business area.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and/or product certification.

• Over 7 years of relevant experience.

• 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner or in Agile-related delivery.

• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification and project management experience are considered advantageous.

• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications or experience in scaled agile delivery are deemed beneficial.

• Comprehensive understanding of Agile/Scrum processes, roles, and practices.

• Capability to manage product backlogs, user stories, delivery initiatives, and defects.

• Proficient in interpreting business challenges and recommending solutions.

• Ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

• Competent in monitoring regulatory requirements and managing risk, quality, and business testing.

• Skilled in compiling performance metrics and defining OKRs.

• Comfortable with continuous sedentary work, multitasking, operating office equipment, and comprehending instructions.

• Willingness to travel domestically on occasion.

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States, as the position is designated for Wilmington, Delaware, United States of America.
