Product Owner I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with other Product Owners and senior leadership to align with a product vision.

• Develop, maintain, and consistently reprioritize a value-driven product backlog along with user stories.

• Address delivery obstacles and proactively identify issues that may hinder efficient delivery.

• Regularly evaluate customer feedback to enhance product value and delivery.

• Work with senior management on product roadmaps, Minimum Marketable Features/Minimum Viable Products, and release schedules.

• Analyze performance metrics and advocate for strategies to enhance the customer or end-user experience with the product.

• Engage in Scrum or Kanban events, such as stand-ups and retrospectives.

• Prepare customers and end users for application updates and establish Day 2 processes.

• Supervise the design, development, completion, acceptance, and rejection of user stories in accordance with the Definition of Done and Acceptance Criteria.

• Manage delivery initiatives and, based on complexity, oversee multiple development team backlogs.

• Prioritize and manage defects effectively.

• Lead submissions and discussions for Quarterly Business Reviews related to the product.

• Coordinate risk management, quality assurance, and business testing efforts.

• Make decisions regarding product delivery and escalate to senior management when necessary.

• Communicate changes to the product and backlog priorities to business, technology, and senior leadership.

• Act as the primary point of escalation for the development team.

• Establish OKRs in collaboration with stakeholders across the organization.

• Keep track of regulatory changes and evaluate their impact on product strategy.

• Gather performance metrics and share them with relevant stakeholders.

• Support team development, monitor team performance metrics, and provide coaching.

• Collaborate effectively with Scrum Masters and colleagues to uphold Agile processes.

• Mentor others, share knowledge, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Foster a fair, positive, equitable, and diverse work environment.

• Serve as a brand ambassador for TD and the business sector.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and/or product certification.

• Over 7 years of relevant experience.

• 3–5 years of experience as a Product Owner or in Agile-related delivery.

• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification and project management experience is a plus.

• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications or experience in scaled agile delivery is advantageous.

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum processes, roles, and methodologies.

• Capability to interpret business challenges and the industry landscape.

• Proficient in communicating complex concepts and influencing senior stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel domestically on occasion.

• Ability to perform sedentary work, handle multiple tasks, operate standard office equipment, concentrate for extended periods, and read/write/comprehend instructions consistently.

• Must be able to work in Wilmington, Delaware, United States of America.
