Product-Minded Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Syria.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the technical framework that transforms a labor-intensive group purchasing operation into a scalable software platform.

• Replace manual, labor-dependent procurement processes with reliable, precise, scalable, and self-service software solutions.

• Participate in the development of the technical platform, encompassing tech architecture, order workflows, matching and pricing algorithms, data infrastructure, and automation layers.

• Streamline chaotic food procurement processes into dependable product workflows.

• Assist the business in scaling while maintaining pricing accuracy, order integrity, and operational reliability.

• Empower the team to cater to more restaurants with reduced manual effort.

• Oversee end-to-end architecture from inception to launch, prioritizing speed and impact.

• Address user challenges through practical technical compromises.

⛳️ Requirements

• Backend expertise: experience in building and scaling production systems.

• Demonstrated ability to architect and orchestrate multi-service applications.

• Extensive hands-on experience with TypeScript/Node.js and Python.

• Frontend experience with React, Flutter, or comparable technologies.

• Proficient in modeling complex real-world data into reliable systems at scale.

• Proven track record of automating operations-heavy tasks using AI.

• Keen use of cutting-edge AI development tools such as Claude Code.

• Product judgement: led end-to-end architecture through launch with a focus on speed and impact.

• Made practical trade-offs to resolve user issues.

• Nice to have: experience in building B2B platforms like procurement, marketplaces, or supply chain.

• Nice to have: background in startup or scale-up environments.

• Nice to have: familiarity with billing, invoicing, payments, or reconciliation systems.

• Nice to have: experience in scaling and leading technical teams through architecture, code reviews, and engineering standards.
