This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in launching new insurance products, enhancing current offerings, and entering new markets.
• Work closely with Distribution, Actuarial, Claims, Operations, Technology, Compliance, and Data teams on product-related updates and initiatives.
• Perform competitive, market, and portfolio analyses to uncover trends, emerging risks, growth opportunities, and potential product enhancements.
• Assess agency performance and create data-driven strategies in collaboration with Distribution stakeholders.
• Establish and implement product roadmaps that align with the company's strategic objectives.
• Lead cross-functional projects and organizational change efforts.
• Oversee regulatory compliance and ensure timely implementation of regulatory changes.
• Utilize mathematical and statistical methods to assess profitability and competitive standing by state and program.
• Review insurance company filings, rate algorithms, underwriting guidelines, forms, and changes in industry regulations.
• Offer recommendations to enhance product launches, modifications, profitability, market expansion, and long-term growth.
• Compare competitor offerings with MSI’s current products and the needs of partners or the market.
• Facilitate the rollout of new products and enhancements across all functional areas.
• Provide strategic recommendations to executives regarding product strategy, tactical execution, and prioritization.
• Oversee ongoing operations with accountability for profit and loss.
• 5+ years of pertinent experience in insurance product management, product development, or a similar field.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• Extensive expertise in insurance products and strong commercial insight.
• Sound judgment and a confident approach to data-informed decision-making.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools and capabilities to enhance productivity and business outcomes.
• Strong skills in project management and cross-functional leadership.
• Familiarity with insurance product development, pricing, and regulatory filing processes.
• Advanced analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel and SQL.
• Strategic thinker with the capacity to convert insights into actionable plans.
• Exceptional self-management, prioritization skills, and the ability to juggle multiple initiatives effectively.
