Product Manager – Kubernetes, Ansible, IaC

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Take ownership of a specific product area from customer discovery through to delivery, launch, and user adoption.

β€’ Engage regularly with platform engineers, DevOps teams, infrastructure leaders, prospects, and customers.

β€’ Analyze production workflows that involve governance, coordination, visibility, reliability, and user adoption.

β€’ Synthesize insights from customer interviews, product usage, support cases, commercial feedback, and market research to pinpoint solvable issues.

β€’ Establish product requirements, success metrics, and recommendations utilizing 5 Questions, PR/FAQs, specifications, and decision records.

β€’ Prioritize tasks based on customer value, strategic alignment, effort, risk, and opportunities for learning.

β€’ Collaborate with Design to explore, prototype, validate, and enhance solutions.

β€’ Work alongside the Engineering Manager to discuss scope and trade-offs, while Engineering leads the architecture and technical execution.

β€’ Partner with the Director of New Product Development to guide product direction, major investment decisions, and market strategies.

β€’ Coordinate launch readiness in collaboration with Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Support teams.

β€’ Assess adoption rates and customer feedback post-release to determine whether to enhance, expand, or discontinue the work.

β€’ Develop and apply a comprehensive understanding of Spacelift, IaC, CI/CD, policy, cloud infrastructure, and the execution engine.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Experience in product management or relevant roles in platform engineering, DevOps, solutions engineering, technical support, product analysis, or technical product ownership.

β€’ Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or Ansible in a production setting.

β€’ Proficiency in Kubernetes with tools like Argo CD, Flux, Helm, operators, cluster management, or experience with Ansible tools such as AWX/Automation Controller, inventories, job templates, execution environments, or automation workflows.

β€’ Ability to articulate the functionality of these tools and identify operational or organizational challenges faced by teams.

β€’ Familiarity with Terraform or OpenTofu and fundamental IaC workflows, including Git-based changes, plan and apply, state management, policy application, and drift detection.

β€’ Proven experience in identifying user issues, synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data, and translating findings into clear product decisions.

β€’ Excellent written communication skills.

β€’ Capability to collaborate directly with engineers and technical customers.

β€’ Good judgment, curiosity, and an openness to change direction when evidence suggests it.

β€’ Proficient in written and spoken English at a B2 level or above.

β€’ Must be based in Europe.
