Product Manager – Core Banking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the Core product area from inception to completion for Moneybase’s shared banking services.

• Lead and execute the product roadmap encompassing wallets, plans, account communications, and customer support tools.

• Collect requirements from product teams and internal stakeholders, establish priorities, and communicate any changes effectively.

• Develop and uphold the team’s prioritized product backlog.

• Collaborate with business analysts to define high-level specifications.

• Manage the customer communications framework, which includes templates, localization, deliverability, consent, and message rules.

• Enhance customer support tools, streamline agent workflows, automate processes, and implement self-service options to decrease contact volume and handling times.

• Oversee the commercial mechanics of business plans and status tiers.

• Manage third-party platforms throughout the evaluation, integration, licensing, cost, and performance phases.

• Work in partnership with teams, UX/UI designers, and business analysts to propose and implement effective solutions.

• Create prototypes and conduct high-level User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Organize, assess, and report on project progress after each sprint.

• Monitor and manage software development activities along with urgent issues.

• Define and track metrics such as support contact rates, resolution times, plan conversions, and retention rates.

• Evaluate value and prioritize stories, milestones, and themes in alignment with the product strategy.

• Conduct performance appraisals and one-on-one meetings, identify training needs, motivate, and manage team performance alongside the Team Lead.

• Ensure efficient internal communication.

• Act as both an internal and external product ambassador and primary point of contact for the product.

• Foster innovation through the adoption of new technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a degree or equivalent qualification.

• Strong grasp of the Agile/SCRUM software development lifecycle.

• Formal certification in product management (e.g., CSPO).

• Over 5 years of product management experience in multicurrency core banking and wallet solutions, wealth-tech, banking, and/or fintech.

• Proven track record of delivering customer-facing features in a dynamic, agile environment, with clear, measurable outcomes.

• Experience operating in a regulated services context, collaborating with Risk, Compliance, and AML teams on product-related decisions.

• Background in a scale-up or high-growth fintech setting.

• Strong product intuition and capability to translate customer pain points and business objectives into a prioritized roadmap.

• Data-driven and analytical.

• Robust UI/UX and user-centered perspective, with experience in user research, usability testing, or close collaboration with design teams.

• Proficient in both relational and non-relational databases.

• Solid understanding of Enterprise Web API development.

• General knowledge of software architecture.

• Significant experience in third-party platform integration and vendor management.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills.

• Capability to envision and deliver solutions that address user requirements and/or resolve business issues.

• Ability to navigate competing priorities among internal stakeholders.

• Competence in motivating teams within a collaborative environment.

• Experience in people management and the ability to lead and influence others.

• Proficiency in driving projects to meet deadlines and overcome challenges.

• Experience with customer engagement, CRM, or support platforms is a plus.

• Experience with subscription pricing, entitlements, or loyalty and tier programs would be regarded as an asset.
