This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Convert portfolio Epics and business goals into Capabilities and Features for ART execution.

• Collaborate with Epic Owners, Business Owners, Product/Solution Management, Architects, and ART SMEs.

• Break down Epics into Capabilities and Features to ensure comprehensive ART backlog coverage.

• Define and document Features and Enabler Features, detailing scope, business value, acceptance criteria, dependencies, assumptions, and anticipated outcomes.

• Facilitate collaborative working sessions among business, technical, functional, architecture, integration, security, and data stakeholders.

• Estimate and refine Features for delivery within a Program Increment.

• Identify and manage cross-team, cross-ART, cross-Feature, and cross-Epic dependencies.

• Oversee and refine the ART backlog, prioritizing Features in conjunction with Product Management and ART leadership.

• Lead ART Backlog Refinement and prepare for PI-planning.

• Assist Product Owners and team-level Business Analysts with the decomposition of Features into Stories.

• Maintain comprehensive traceability from Epics and Capabilities down to Features and Stories.

• Track Feature progress and support PI Planning, System Demos, Feature acceptance, and ART-level reporting.

• Resolve dependency, scope, and requirement issues as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required, along with the ability to pass a background investigation.

• A Secret clearance is mandatory to initiate employment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on iterative software development projects.

• Knowledge of SAFe or other Agile methodologies is preferred.

• Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, Visio) and SharePoint.

• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

• Capability to work within a Scaled Agile environment.
