Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee key supplier portfolios to achieve profitable and sustainable growth of the Water Treatment Value Add (WTVA) product range.

• Manage WTVA products across both Industrial and Municipal markets within the specified region.

• Collaborate with District Sales leadership, generalist sellers, technical experts, customer service, operations, and purchasing to implement Brenntag’s WTVA value proposition.

• Establish and nurture strategic relationships with suppliers, the Brenntag sales team, Sales and District Management, as well as the Water Treatment team.

• Create and execute marketing strategies for each product line.

• Negotiate off-list pricing for strategic and long-term opportunities.

• Oversee off-list pricing and manage claims related to supplier/product categories.

• Supervise WTVA product code setups in the assigned region.

• Develop product-line budgets in collaboration with Water Treatment leadership, ensuring products meet or exceed annual financial targets.

• Track product-line pipelines, including wins, losses, and potential threats to support annual budget and margin-bridge planning.

• Drive sales efforts on open or previously lost opportunities to secure or regain business.

• Communicate and implement pricing changes, highlighting price drivers and market intelligence for the sales teams.

• Manage selling prices for the designated product portfolio.

• Oversee supplier contract management for both new and existing suppliers.

• Optimize inventory levels, locations, pricing, and packaging.

• Coordinate with regions on the procurement of WTVA-classified products.

• Identify opportunities for cost reduction within WTVA products.

• Provide support to sales teams through joint customer visits.

• Internally promote relevant product lines and assist with external marketing initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required or equivalent experience in the industry.

• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in product management; experience in the water treatment industry is preferred.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM tools; familiarity with Salesforce is preferred.

• Strong understanding of industrial and commercial water treatment markets and value-added selling strategies.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

• Ability to influence stakeholders both internally and externally.

• Highly effective at building and maintaining relationships.

• Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time, depending on business needs and job requirements.
