This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams that include engineers, writers, designers, interaction developers, learning scientists, and marketers.
• Take ownership of a product area and establish a 6–12 month roadmap that balances feature development, user requests, technical debt, and content debt.
• Advocate for users throughout the product development process and leverage customer discovery insights to pinpoint and address quality gaps.
• Track product performance in the marketplace while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, use cases, and product functionalities.
• Investigate and convey information on competitive offerings, identifying gaps, opportunities, and emerging trends.
• Convert leadership's overarching vision into actionable initiatives, concepts, plans, and quarterly release/execution strategies.
• Establish quarterly OKRs, manage feature-level key results, set performance metrics, and monitor progress.
• Utilize data to assess impacts on teacher efficiency or student outcomes, making adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate with engineering and design leads to navigate technical, pedagogical, physical, and UX constraints.
• Inspire cross-functional teams to unify around a common vision and advocate for essential platform capabilities.
• Oversee the complete product delivery process from ideation and requirements gathering through to launch and post-launch iterations.
• Manage requirements and prioritize the backlog, making trade-off decisions while remaining accountable for feature quality, scope, readiness, and timelines.
• Lead product development practices, resolve blockers within service level agreements, provide context for sprint plans, and advocate for automated test coverage.
• Identify processes where AI can enhance teacher effectiveness, student engagement, or team efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement AI-powered features, define requirements, assess feasibility, and validate quality before widespread release.
• Act as the primary liaison for the product area, updating stakeholders on progress, trade-offs, priority changes, and timelines.
• 5 years of experience in product management, preferably in EdTech, SaaS, consumer technology, or a similarly complex B2B2C setting.
• Familiarity with technically complex products that involve backend services, APIs, or platform infrastructure is advantageous.
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• An advanced degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in delivering features from concept through to launch and iterating based on feedback received post-launch.
• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of sprint cycles, user story mapping, and discovery techniques.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• An empathy-first mindset with a deep respect for the challenges faced by educators.
• Willingness to travel to headquarters in New York for in-person onboarding or periodically during employment as required.
