Product Lifecycle Process Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and direct assigned Product Lifecycle areas, focusing on priorities, performance, staff growth, ownership, and accountability.

• Act as the escalation point for complex, high-priority, or high-visibility issues.

• Manage competing priorities while ensuring timely delivery and maintaining quality standards.

• Integrate lifecycle functions such as Discovery, Reuse, and SaaS governance.

• Develop shared intake criteria, handoff standards, and communication touchpoints.

• Organize recurring cross-team meetings to identify blockers, clarify responsibilities, and align prioritization.

• Represent the managed functions during modernization and organizational discussions.

• Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process maps, handoff criteria, decision logic, and knowledge-base articles.

• Document historical process context, timelines, and program history as part of institutional knowledge.

• Establish documentation standards and a regular maintenance schedule.

• Monitor and report on performance and process health metrics to leadership.

• Analyze request and program trends to suggest process enhancements, tooling modifications, or new service offerings.

• Provide program and lifecycle recommendations to leadership.

• Ensure governance, compliance, and quality oversight, including conducting quality-control reviews.

• Maintain alignment with security frameworks, VA cloud strategy, enterprise architecture standards, federal regulations, and VA policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

• Ability to pass a federal background investigation/suitability determination as required for VA contractor personnel.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in cloud services, IT service management, or product/program operations.

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years in a leadership, team lead, or cross-functional program role.

• Proven success in building collaborative relationships across teams and creating process structures and documentation from scratch.

• Practical experience with SaaS products and PaaS platforms, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, ServiceNow, or Salesforce.

• Familiarity with ITSM frameworks such as ITIL, and triage/ticketing systems.

• Experience in federal government settings, preferably with the VA or another significant federal agency.

• Knowledge of FedRAMP, FISMA, ATO processes, and federal cloud security/compliance requirements.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a history of providing practical, compliant solutions.

• Active PMP certification, progress toward it, or equivalent hands-on project/process management experience is preferred.

• Additional certifications such as ITIL Foundation, Lean Six Sigma, AWS/Azure/GCP, or CISSP are preferred.

• Previous experience with VA OIT or VA cloud initiatives is preferred.

• Direct experience with Reuse, SaaS Memo/Attestation, or ISO governance processes is preferred.

• Familiarity with business process management, workflow automation, or process-mapping tools is preferred.

• Reliable internet connection capable of supporting effective telecommuting.
