This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.
• Establish the vision and prioritized roadmap for PACS and Viewer.
• Drive product discovery initiatives with radiologists from various specialties.
• Convert actual reading workflows into user-friendly navigation, minimizing interruptions, and ensuring efficient access to images and clinical data.
• Specify diagnostic viewing features, including hanging protocols, multi-monitor configurations, series navigation, longitudinal comparisons, prior relevance, measurements, annotations, and tools specific to modalities.
• Influence integration with advanced visualization tools and subspecialty applications.
• Set priorities regarding image ingestion, routing, storage, retrieval, reconciliation, sharing, and lifecycle management.
• Cater to the operational needs of PACS administrators, imaging informatics teams, and enterprise clients.
• Collaborate with worklist, reporting, and AI product leaders to maintain patient and study context across different applications.
• Define requirements for cloud and hybrid deployments, the coexistence of legacy PACS, archive migrations, and access to historical studies.
• Prioritize connectivity with modalities, RIS, EHR, and third-party imaging systems.
• Set performance expectations for time to first image, series navigation, prior availability, responsiveness for large studies, and service reliability.
• Maintain requirements, acceptance criteria, and release priorities.
• Address scope trade-offs with engineering and design teams.
• Oversee clinical validation, gather pilot feedback, ensure launch readiness, and drive post-release enhancements.
• Create investment proposals and contribute to pricing strategies, packaging, competitive positioning, and sales support.
• Assess opportunities based on customer value, revenue potential, delivery effort, and service costs.
• Align internal teams and technology partners around product outcomes.
• Mentor product managers and product owners while enhancing discovery practices.
• Monitor adoption rates, user satisfaction, workflow efficiency, support burden, retention, and product economics.
• Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory teams on intended use, risk controls, requirements traceability, and release evidence.
• Travel as needed for clinical observations, customer interactions, implementation reviews, and industry events.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, health informatics, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in healthcare technology.
• At least 7 years dedicated to product management.
• Significant experience managing PACS or diagnostic viewer products.
• Proven track record of successfully launching commercial imaging software and enhancing products utilized in daily clinical settings.
• In-depth knowledge of radiologist reading workflows, multi-modality imaging, prior comparisons, and enterprise PACS operations.
• Capability to assess the usability and performance of diagnostic viewers with clinicians and convert insights into actionable product decisions.
• Practical understanding of DICOM, DICOMweb, HL7, FHIR, and relevant IHE workflows.
• Experience with cloud or hybrid imaging products, enterprise integrations, and complex customer deployments.
• Strong commercial insight and disciplined decision-making in investment and prioritization.
• Experience leading distributed, cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to work during regular Eastern Time hours.
• Must adhere to data privacy, compliance, safety, confidentiality, company policies, and applicable employment laws.
• Preferred: experience in modernizing an established PACS or transitioning customers to a cloud-based imaging platform.
• Preferred: familiarity with advanced visualization, mammography and tomosynthesis, or other specialized workflows.
• Preferred: experience in integrating AI results, structured imaging data, and reporting tools into diagnostic applications.
• Preferred: experience managing or mentoring product teams.
• Preferred: knowledge of medical-device product development, clinical validation, usability engineering, and quality management processes.
• Options for remote work within the United States or Canada.
• Flexibility to work from the Somerville office, though attendance is not mandatory.
• Travel requirements for clinical observations, customer engagements, implementation reviews, and industry events as needed.
