Product Engineering Lead, 100% Remote

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations of the app and feature teams by removing obstacles, conducting reviews, and ensuring continuous delivery.

• Establish and uphold high standards in engineering for performance, reliability, and clean APIs.

• Take ownership of the technical design for features and the API interface between the AI core and the application.

• Collaborate with AI research and deep tech teams on code evaluations, design, models, and inference processes.

• Work alongside QV.AC product managers to convert vision and strategy into defined, actionable tasks.

• Address discrepancies between scope and reality while suggesting improved methodologies.

• Provide an engineering perspective on product decisions related to local-model functionalities.

• Leverage AI tools and rapid prototypes to test and validate concepts.

• Foster clarity regarding team objectives and success metrics.

• Guide team leaders and enhance team operating systems and collaboration practices.

• Report directly to the CTO and follow product directives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience managing engineers or engineering leads who develop consumer products, particularly AI-driven applications.

• Strong understanding of product dynamics.

• Insight into applied AI and constraints associated with on-device operations, including model size, latency, memory use, and battery consumption.

• Capability to differentiate between reliable features and mere demonstrations.

• Extensive experience with AI tools and a passion for experimenting with new models and functionalities.

• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript and React.

• Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, resilience, and the ability to provide and accept constructive feedback.

• Preferred: Background in local or on-device inference, LLM evaluations, cross-platform mobile and desktop applications, or open-source contributions.

• Excellent proficiency in English communication.
