This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Define and develop AI products within Roper Technologies' diverse portfolio of leading vertical software businesses.
• Collaborate with leadership from portfolio companies to refine AI product concepts, roadmaps, and product strategies.
• Acquire knowledge of new business domains and pinpoint areas where AI significantly enhances customer value.
• Formulate a well-supported viewpoint on what to create, what to avoid, and the rationale for timing.
• Assess opportunities based on feasibility, differentiation, and customer willingness to pay.
• Engage directly with customers to anchor product decisions in authentic workflows.
• Create working prototypes and conduct experiments to verify feasibility.
• Design evaluations that differentiate between compelling demonstrations and viable products.
• Transition from concept to operational systems utilizing AI-assisted development.
• Create shared technologies and products that amplify leverage across various Roper businesses.
• Determine when capabilities should be developed centrally or locally.
• Promote the adoption of shared platforms and methodologies among engineering teams in portfolio companies.
• Document successful strategies into reusable frameworks, reference architectures, and playbooks.
• Deliver AI products that customers embrace, can be monetized, and that aid in organic growth.
• Define and monitor metrics for adoption, retention, expansion, and customer impact.
• Integrate production usage insights back into the product roadmap.
• A Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics.
• Extensive technical expertise in AI and machine learning, including contemporary LLM-based and agentic systems.
• Previous experience in deploying AI products at scale in a production environment.
• Strong product intuition and aesthetic judgment, with clear opinions on what constitutes quality software.
• Solid understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
• Proven ability to rapidly and independently prototype effective solutions.
• Capacity to swiftly learn unfamiliar business domains and develop a clear vision of what to create.
• Openness to directly collaborate with customers and teams from portfolio companies.
• Strong sense of ownership, resilience in the face of unsuccessful experiments, and a high level of internal motivation.
• Ability to operate autonomously in a fluid environment.
• Experience in vertical SaaS or enterprise software within regulated or operationally complex industries.
• Proficiency with agent frameworks, orchestration patterns, retrieval systems, and evaluation methodologies.
• Full-stack capabilities ranging from model behavior to customer-facing interfaces.
• Experience collaborating across multiple business units or being part of a central strike team.
