Product Development Project Manager – Consumer Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Take charge of and manage the product cost calculator, encompassing materials, manufacturing, packaging, freight, and landed costs.

• Develop and refine pricing models to align with margin objectives and inform sales strategies.

• Establish and oversee product development schedules and Gantt charts across various projects.

• Collaborate daily with the China team to monitor samples, approvals, revisions, and production milestones.

• Keep the Sales team informed about product status, launch timelines, costs, and any changes.

• Identify delays, cost fluctuations, and risks early on, and suggest viable solutions.

• Systematize project documentation, trackers, and status reports.

• Conduct regular check-ins to ensure stakeholders are aligned and decision-making processes are seamless.

• Enhance processes and tools to facilitate smooth product development as the portfolio expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in project management within consumer product development, preferably with physical goods marketed through retail or e-commerce.

• Proven track record in managing product timelines from conceptualization to sampling, production, and launch.

• In-depth knowledge of product costing, pricing strategies, and profit margins.

• Proficient in advanced Excel or Google Sheets functionalities.

• Familiarity with creating Gantt charts and project plans using tools such as Smartsheet, Monday, Asana, MS Project, or similar applications.

• Experience collaborating with overseas suppliers or manufacturing teams, particularly in China, is highly advantageous.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Highly organized and adept at managing multiple products at various stages of development.

• A background solely in software, IT, or localization project management does not meet the requirements for this role.
