Product Development Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the delivery of the product development process and facilitate cross-functional alignment on development objectives.

• Assist and/or lead weekly product development meetings for teams in the US and Asia.

• Maintain the development tracker with up-to-date information.

• Relay precise sampling, costing, and product information to cross-functional partners and vendors.

• Monitor, authorize, and document tooling fees.

• Ensure adherence to product development calendar objectives, which include specifications, samples, design approvals, cost approvals, spec sheet validation, and purchase order placement.

• Lead communications regarding sample requests, follow-ups, troubleshooting, and timelines.

• Develop timelines and action plans as necessary.

• Collaborate with Asia Sourcing to guarantee that vendors provide comprehensive and aligned cost sheets.

• Collect and archive product launch documentation, such as cost sheets, BOMs, spec sheets, and assembly guides.

• Manage daily product details and update the ready-to-write tracker.

• Create effective transitions with cross-functional teams for SKU setup and purchase order placement.

• Provide SKU and UPC labels directly to vendors.

⛳️ Requirements

• 0-2+ years of experience in product development, sourcing, production, or as a buyer; hardgoods experience is preferred, especially in furniture.

• A Bachelor's degree is required (or equivalent practical experience in product development, sourcing, or production).

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Driven by deadlines with a proactive approach to action.

• Capable of working independently, evaluating tradeoffs, prioritizing tasks, and communicating strategically.

• Self-motivated individual with a desire to learn.

• Skilled in identifying and overcoming product development challenges.

• Competent in assessing risks, flagging issues, and resolving them proactively.

• Passionate about establishing processes, implementing quality measures, and producing thorough documentation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners and project stakeholders.

• Proficient in organizing and understanding large datasets.

• Familiarity with Notion, Slack, and Google Workspace.

• Multilingual abilities, preferably in Mandarin or Vietnamese, are considered an asset.
