This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +10 more states.
• Take ownership of defining and evolving the user experience within a designated portfolio of GridUnity technology products.
• Ensure clarity, usability, coherence, and consistency across various technologies, features, workflows, and shared patterns.
• Contribute to and uphold UX patterns, interaction models, and design standards.
• Define and monitor UX success metrics through both qualitative and quantitative insights.
• Communicate UX insights, risks, and recommendations to leadership effectively.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to translate strategy, roadmap priorities, and requirements into user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Work alongside the Insights team to integrate market, regulatory, and Voice of Customer insights.
• Plan and execute user research, including interviews, workflow walkthroughs, and usability testing.
• Distill research findings into actionable design recommendations.
• Collaborate with Engineering to ensure designs are feasible, comprehended, and accurately implemented, focusing on edge cases, error states, data availability, permissions, and system constraints.
• Support iterative delivery through design reviews, feedback cycles, and post-release UX evaluations.
• Guide UX decisions during platform transitions and significant product evolutions.
• Balance configurability with standardization.
• Create documentation, guides, and best practices to ensure the longevity of the platform.
• Report to the Director of Product Management and collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering, and Customer Experience.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in designing user experiences for complex B2B SaaS platforms or enterprise software solutions.
• A strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end UX work, including research, flows, interaction design, and delivered products.
• Experience working closely with Product Management and Engineering in an Agile environment.
• Capability to design for complex workflows, data-intensive interfaces, and expert users.
• Exceptional communication skills; able to articulate and justify design decisions with evidence.
• Experience designing products for regulated industries is a plus.
• Familiarity with SaaS platforms that balance standardization with customer-specific configurations is advantageous.
• Experience supporting platform migrations or substantial product evolutions is a benefit.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
