Product Design Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop a 5-member Product Design team.

• Transform design competencies into a well-defined, defensible, and consistently implemented company standard.

• Conduct development discussions and write performance evaluations in collaboration with business-unit leaders.

• Take ownership of hands-on design projects, from complex challenges and exploratory concepts to quick wins and team-supportive tasks.

• Collaborate with leadership to ensure design direction aligns with product strategy and organizational goals.

• Create and enhance design systems to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability.

• Propel initiatives related to AI-enabled, agentic-friendly design systems.

• Influence design methodologies encompassing discovery, concept development, interaction design, prototyping, and delivery.

• Foster exploration while grounding decisions in user needs and market realities.

• Champion customer experience across all product interfaces.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in product design, with at least 2 years in a management role.

• Proven ability to nurture, mentor, and assist senior designers.

• A robust portfolio showcasing excellence in visual design, interaction design, systems thinking, product storytelling, and user-centered design.

• Experience in building and scaling design systems.

• Proficiency in AI within design practices.

• Capability to clarify ambiguous situations and transform loose ideas into compelling product concepts.

• Excellent cross-functional communication skills and experience collaborating closely with cross-functional leadership.

• Familiarity with various user research methodologies.

• Experience leading design initiatives across multiple products or platforms.

• Experience in a two-sided marketplace is highly advantageous.
