Product Design Intern – Mobile Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Acquire knowledge about members, products, benefits, and the mobile experience.

• Evaluate current mobile journeys to pinpoint usability or comprehension enhancements.

• Assist in customer research, stakeholder interviews, competitive analyses, and usability assessments.

• Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs with guidance.

• Investigate mobile experiences for iOS and Android while learning pertinent platform conventions.

• Aid in identifying crucial states and edge cases, including loading, empty, error, authentication, and permissions states.

• Engage in design critiques and present work early for constructive feedback.

• Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to grasp user needs, business objectives, and technical limitations.

• Assist in design documentation, reusable patterns, and updates to the design system.

• Review executed designs with the team and help uncover opportunities for quality improvement.

• Complete a specified mobile design project from problem identification through recommendations, prototyping, testing, or launch support.

• Share work, decisions, insights, and future steps with the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in interaction design, UX, product design, graphic design, human-computer interaction, psychology, computer science, or a related field—or possess equivalent experience.

• A portfolio or work sample demonstrating design thinking; academic, personal, volunteer, or freelance projects are encouraged.

• Familiarity with Figma or a comparable design tool.

• Genuine interest in mobile app design and digital products.

• Basic knowledge of user flows, wireframing, prototyping, or usability testing.

• Strong curiosity and eagerness to learn.

• Ability to articulate ideas clearly and accept feedback constructively.

• Keen attention to detail and a desire to simplify complex experiences.

• Capacity to work collaboratively and adhere to agreed-upon deadlines.
