Product Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Serve as the liaison between Product and Engineering within an Agile delivery framework.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, QA, UX, and subject matter experts to convert business requirements into actionable user stories.

• Engage with stakeholders to comprehend business objectives and product needs.

• Collect, analyze, challenge, and document business and user requirements.

• Convert Epics into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and analysis documentation using Jira and Confluence.

• Refine and manage the product backlog while assisting with prioritization.

• Analyze business processes and user workflows to pinpoint areas for product enhancement.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Work closely with Engineering and QA throughout the delivery process.

• Collaborate across multiple Agile teams to ensure uniform requirements and successful delivery.

• Identify and mitigate delivery risks while managing stakeholder expectations.

• Conduct and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Leverage product analytics and customer feedback to pinpoint future improvements.

• Contribute to the creation of wireframes, user flows, and lightweight prototypes.

• Assist in customer discussions, technology research, and cross-functional product initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role within a SaaS software environment.

• Proficient in working within Agile Scrum teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Strong background in gathering, analyzing, documenting, and refining business requirements.

• Demonstrated experience in translating business needs into Epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Confidence to question assumptions and think independently.

• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence or similar Agile tools.

• Extensive Business Analysis experience with B2B Enterprise SaaS products.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery teams.

• Skills in requirements elicitation, process analysis, and user journey mapping.

• Proficiency in writing high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation.

• Experience with backlog refinement, prioritization, and close collaboration with Product Managers.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills spanning Product, Engineering, QA, UX, and business teams.

• Experience in analyzing business processes and transforming complex requirements into actionable work.

• Quality Analysis and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) experience.

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Experience in scientific software or Life Sciences is advantageous but not required.
