Product and Services Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead analytical initiatives across the SaaS portfolio, professional services, and FinOps departments.

• Define KPIs, analytics, benchmarks, and financial insights to evaluate product health, service performance, engineering investment, cost-to-serve, and profitability.

• Create and sustain analytics frameworks for Cloud SaaS products and implementation/service operations.

• Develop standardized KPIs, dashboards, benchmarks, and reporting mechanisms for operational, commercial, and financial performance.

• Assess ARR, revenue growth, software gross margin, customer adoption, retention, expansion, usage, bookings, ASP, discount rates, and customer/product profitability.

• Detect trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for enhancing product economics and customer value.

• Formulate Engineering-to-Revenue and other metrics related to product investment.

• Provide insights for product investment decisions and portfolio prioritization.

• Define KPI criteria, calculation methods, data sources, and accountability across functions.

• Create internal and external benchmarks spanning products, regions, industries, customer segments, implementation models, and product lines.

• Develop analytics for software implementation initiatives, covering revenue, backlog, project duration, time-to-value, utilization, staffing, margins, forecast accuracy, milestones, scope modifications, rework, customer readiness, and timely delivery.

• Examine implementation economics and cost-to-serve in collaboration with Services, Finance, and Product leadership.

• Identify factors contributing to margin erosion, resource inefficiency, scope creep, delivery complexity, and ongoing implementation costs.

• Oversee FinOps and SaaS cost management by aligning cloud infrastructure and operational expenditures with specific SaaS products and offerings.

• Establish visibility of cost-to-serve, unit economics, and product-level profitability.

• Report on cloud cost optimization and performance metrics.

• Identify opportunities for infrastructure efficiency, utilization, gross margin enhancement, and cost reduction.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance, and Cloud Operations to achieve measurable cost savings and promote continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Approximately 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably within SaaS or FinOps settings.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Experience with data visualization tools; Power BI is preferred.

• Capability to build custom dashboards.

• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• Must be a resident of the United States.

• Valid work authorization for the United States is required.

• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.

• Experience in developing and managing business performance metrics, dashboards, reporting, and analytical frameworks.

• Solid understanding of financial analysis and business economics, including revenue, costs, margins, profitability, forecasting, and investment performance.

• Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools with access to multiple data sources.

• Extensive experience in SaaS, financial, and operational analytics.

• Advanced skills in data analysis and business intelligence.

• Expertise in SQL, Tableau/Power BI, Excel, or similar analytics platforms.

• Familiarity with SaaS financial modeling and unit economics.

• Experience in product-level P&L analysis, engineering investment metrics, professional services economics, cost-to-serve, gross margin analysis, and performance benchmarking.

• Knowledge of Cloud FinOps and SaaS cost management principles.

• Experience in analyzing AWS/cloud infrastructure costs, usage, unit costs, cost allocation, and cloud optimization strategies.
