This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assess and enhance the in-app player experience along with the performance of games and features, collaborating closely with the Analytics and Product teams.
• Establish a dependable event-tracking infrastructure as a key foundational element.
• Identify and address gaps in event-tracking/instrumentation across mobile SDKs and/or game-engine event logging.
• Validate event definitions and ensure data quality.
• Create and maintain essential product/game-performance dashboards that monitor DAU/MAU, session metrics, retention rates, funnel conversions, and feature adoption.
• Develop a structured A/B testing framework for game mechanics and user interface modifications.
• Formulate hypotheses, determine primary and guardrail metrics, and establish sample-size requirements.
• Analyze A/B test results for statistical significance.
• Drive player segmentation utilizing cohort analysis and behavioral clustering.
• Spearhead churn-prediction modeling in collaboration with the Head of Analytics.
• Investigate notable or unexpected changes in core KPIs and identify root causes.
• Convert findings into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product/Game Design to develop measurement frameworks for new game and feature launches.
• Set baseline metrics and track initial adoption indicators.
• A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline is preferred.
• 3-5+ years of experience in product/data analytics, preferably in mobile gaming or session-based consumer applications.
• Proficient in SQL and experienced with event-tracking/instrumentation tools (e.g., Firebase, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or a game-engine analytics SDK).
• Skilled with modern BI/visualization tools (such as Metabase, Looker, Tableau, or similar).
• Experience with A/B testing platforms, experimental design, and testing for statistical significance.
• Familiarity with predictive or clustering methodologies (e.g., logistic regression, k-means) for churn or propensity modeling; knowledge of Python or R is a plus.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguous and evolving data infrastructures; this role involves building from nearly scratch rather than working with a mature, fully-instrumented stack.
• Experience in mobile game analytics and app-store optimization (ASO).
• Understanding of machine learning techniques for behavioral or churn prediction (e.g., propensity scoring).
• Previous experience in a regulated gaming/sweepstakes environment.
