Data & Analytics Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Establish the data and analytics strategy while collaborating with Engineering on infrastructure, KPI definitions, and creating a unified source of truth.

• Propel the organization’s AI reporting and analytics initiatives utilizing tools like Claude.

• Oversee guest analytics across the application, ordering, subscriptions, and loyalty, bridging digital interactions with in-cafe behavior.

• Develop dashboards and tools for Cafe Operations to monitor sales, traffic, labor, and service speed.

• Collaborate with Digital & Product teams to design and assess A/B tests for features, offers, and personalization.

• Examine menu mix, pricing, and launch performance to inform product decisions.

• Aid in planning, forecasting, and business case development with data-driven insights for senior leadership.

• Report to the Head of Finance and work closely with Cafe Operations, Digital & Product, and Engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or business intelligence, preferably in hospitality, retail, or food and beverage sectors.

• Proficiency in SQL along with experience using modern data and BI tools and ERP/Planning systems (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Sigma or Tableau, Netsuite, Adaptive); knowledge of Python or R is beneficial.

• Familiarity with AI tools like Claude to enhance analysis speed, automate reporting, or facilitate self-serve insights for business teams.

• Background in working with POS, loyalty, or digital ordering data, as well as experience in experimental design.

• Strong commercial insight and an understanding of P&L factors.

• Exceptional communication and influencing abilities across various functions and organizational levels.

• A true enthusiasm for outstanding coffee, hospitality, and crafting experiences that resonate with people.

• Employees must reside within 50 miles of one of the established Blue Bottle Coffee locations.
