This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Lead teams from various disciplines across one or multiple software projects.
• Serve as the primary liaison among clients, studio leadership, project teams, and stakeholders.
• Manage estimation, budgeting, planning, prioritization, and scheduling from initial concept to release and ongoing operations.
• Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Identify and address critical-path risks and issues, implementing necessary mitigation strategies.
• Enhance and streamline the project development pipeline and workflow.
• Communicate project vision, goals, and objectives to teams and stakeholders effectively.
• Facilitate coordination and communication between internal and external resources.
• Utilize analytics, ROI-driven recommendations, contract reviews, and cost analysis.
• Collaborate with project teams and QA to oversee bug assignment, prioritization, and resolution progress.
• Provide status updates and communicate project progress and risks to studio leadership.
• Conduct project retrospectives and post-mortems.
• Document, advocate for, refine, and improve departmental processes.
• Mentor and train Producers.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Producer and/or Project Manager role within software development.
• Prior experience in video game development, having completed five development cycles (Pre-production, Production, Post Production, Live support) and launched at least three titles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong expertise in project management practices and software tools.
• Capability to provide constructive feedback aligned with project goals and strategies.
• Proficient in resolving conflicts within the team and between the team and clients.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic development environment.
• Experience managing a team in a hybrid work setting.
• Extensive knowledge of the development process across all discipline areas.
• Financial and business acumen.
• Capacity to motivate large teams or multiple teams effectively.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Jira, and Confluence, including the ability to create reports and charts.
• Professional experience with Unity, Unreal, or other game engines.
• Strong passion for the gaming industry and high-quality interactive experiences.
• PMI PMP Certification is a plus.
• Completion of a Game Development certificate or any University degree, or equivalent practical experience is desirable.
